Brian was born and raised in Downriver Michigan. Lincoln Park, the city in which he grew up and lived in for many years, is still his prime investing stomping grounds. Brian started his real estate investing career when he was only 21. Over the years and the dozens of investment transactions he’s been involved in, Brian has experienced just about every facet of real estate investing that you can get involved in.
From single family rentals and single family flips to multi-family rentals, historic restorations, and long-term commercial buy-and-hold properties, Brian brings a wealth of experience to the table. Such tenure is not common in an industry that is known to churn and burn through 80% of all the newbie investors that get started each year, and as little as 5% left in the game after 36 months.
Brian has experience running as many as 2 additional businesses AND holding down a traditional job as a public school teacher all at the same time while running his real estate investment business. It wasn’t until recently that he decided to hang up the J-O-B and dedicate 100% of his time to real estate investing, but once he did he discovered that he missed teaching a bit.
Instead of going back to teaching business and sales electives to a group of uninterested students who would most likely never use the valuable knowledge being heaped upon them, Brian decided to spearhead The Real Estate Investing Show as a way to spread the news about investing in one of the few great cashflow States left, Michigan, with investors around the country.
Brian is married and has one daughter. Brian enjoys fitness activities such as mountain-biking, boating, and staying fit at the gym. He also enjoys spending time with his family in their custom-built home a stones-throw from the Detroit Riverfront in Wyandotte, MI.
Brian is a wealth of knowledge that shares his experience

Brian is also a native of South East Michigan. The majority of Brian’s early life he lived in Dearborn before being transplanted to Woodhaven. Brian became interested in real estate investing in 1998 when he came across the CREOnline.com real estate forum while studying to be an automotive computer aided designer. He was one of the few people that didn’t even know of Carlton Sheets, but he became consumed with the idea of investing in real estate at that time.
Brian then served in the United States Marine Corps from 2000-2004 as an infantry Marine. He was called to be part of the Presidential Support Team and was stationed in Washington D.C. for the majority of his tour.
Brian got married while in the Marine Corps and about a year later he bought his first investment property just outside of Andrews Air Force Base. Two years later he sold the property and made a $92k gross profit. From then on he was hooked.
While stories of a "troubled real estate market" continued to come from back west in Michigan, Brian packed his family up and moved them back anyway. It seems that the Marines weren’t tough enough on Brian, so he decided to get involved in Michigan real estate right at the beginning of the so-called bubble burst. At the advice of one of his investing mentors Mark Ijlal , he quickly picked up his real estate license and began searching for investment properties for himself and other investors.
Brian was involved in over 43 real estate investment transactions before joining forces with Brian Teets to create the "Done-For-You" real estate investment system. He still carries an active license and uses his contacts with other Realtors to find the best deals for the nationwide network of investors involved in the program.
He currently lives with his wife and three children at their home in Taylor, Michigan.
